Vienna is renowned for Mozart but there is more to this. It is also ranked as the most romantic city in the world. The city has a rich history with friendly locals. Apart from the Mozart concerts, their endless activities you can engage in as a visitor. If you are planning to visit Vienna, you better extend your days because you will be overwhelmed by the beauty and fun activities here. You simply won’t get enough of the city and this is why I have combined a list of things to do to make your planning easier.
1. Mozart concert
This had to come first. You should start with a Mozart concert to fit in the Vienna environment. There is always a classical concert in the evenings, which is part of the Austrian culture. Make sure you dress appropriately for a classical concert to avoid embarrassments. An evening of Mozart concert should end with a 3-course Austrian meal. Make sure you get this.
2. Sample the Vienna wine
The locals are always in a celebratory mood but December is usually the climax. The city is renowned for its friendly weather during the end year; this means a lot of activities. You don’t need to research for long to get a wine tasting tour; there are multiple firms offering the adventure with few bucks. Be sure to visit UNESCO while on your tour for a taste of the unique winery.
3. Ride the Vienna bus
The best way to tour this city is on a bus. While you can get closer while on foot and a local guide, a bus guarantees you a feel of the basic Vienna culture. You won’t miss any fun associated with the city. You can hop in and hop off whenever you like and view over 60 attractions.
4. Try cooking
Going to the top restaurants in the city might not be as adventurous as engaging with traditional experts to learn the cuisines. Be sure to tour the food market, which can go for as long as four hours. There are kinds of ingredients and fresh produce from the farms. Make a point to get to the Naschmarkt market.
5. Enjoy concert while dining
The Danube River is associated with entertainment. It hosts the Schonbrunn palace where you can enjoy the Austrian dinner. It is popularly known as the combo tour. The tour offers you incredible views of the Vienna waterfront. All this goes while live classical music is playing in the background.
