Suvarnabhumi International Airport is located around 20 kilometers from Bangkok’s Central Business District. It is one of the two airports serving Bangkok. The airport is one of the busiest airports in Asia serving more than 50 million passengers every year.
The airport is so big and busy that it is sometimes difficult to find things you are looking for. There are various options to get from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bangkok. We have identified 4 options to get from the airport to the city.

Airport Rail Link
The airport rail link is a 15-minute journey from the airport to the city terminal. The train is available from Basement B of the passenger terminal. The train starts a journey from the airport to the Phaya Thai interchange station in downtown Bangkok. In between, the train stops at 5 stations along the way. Once you reach Phaya Thai it is easy to get around the city by BTS Sky Train.
If you get down at Lat Krabang station from Suvarnabhumi Airport it will take around 15 Baht. However, if you get down at Phaya Thai it will take around 45 Baht.
The airport rail link can be accessed from morning 6 am till midnight. The trains are available every 15 minutes from Monday to Friday.
2. Public Van
Public Van is another way to reach Bangkok CBD. The vans are normally available from gates 1 and 8 on the 1st Floor. The service route for the public van is from the airport to the Victory monument. Once you reach Victory monument you can take a bus, a van or a BTS train to other areas of Bangkok.
The van fares from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Victory monument is around 40 Baht. The vans are available from 5.00 am every 20 minutes interval.
3. Bangkok Airport Taxis
Bangkok Airport Taxis are really great. They are a convenient option to reach Bangkok. The taxis are good if you are traveling with co-passengers or family. They are more comfortable because the taxis are available 24 hours, the price is affordable, they have private space, and the taxis can help drop you directly at the hotel.
The travel time for the taxi from Bangkok airport to the city is around 1 hour and the cost of hiring a private taxi can range from 300-500 Baht depending on your location (including tollgate tax)
It is to be noted that the Bangkok Airport Limousine service is available at the arrival level (2nd Floor). The passengers who are unaware of Bangkok Airport Taxis may book Limo Service at first instance. If you are a frugal traveler, I am sure you would like to book a normal taxi.
The normal taxis are available at 1st Floor gate 4 and gate 7.
4. Bangkok Airport Limousine
This is one of the best services available for transfer from the airport to the city. If you want a bit of luxury it is best to hire a limousine. The Limousine Service Counter is available on the 2nd floor (arrival level).
Various types of vehicles are available through the Bangkok Limo Transfer. The price of the limo may start from 1500 Baht. The Limo service has a great fleet of drivers and comfy vehicles like Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Camry. The Bangkok Airport transfer provides excellent round the clock limousine service to its passengers.
