Standing proudly overlooking the Chao Phraya  River is Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn.  It is a temple named after the Hindu God Aruna.  As the sun rises on Bangkok’s horizon in the early morning, Wat Arun shimmers in the light.  Evening views of Wat Arun are magnificent from the other side of the Chao Phraya River.  Wat Arun is one of my personal favorite temples in Bangkok due to its waterfront view and magnificent construction

4. Visit Khao San Road

Khao San Road is a road in the heart of Bangkok. This road is often referred to as the “backpacker’s heaven”. This road is open daily and mostly the action starts in the evening time. On both sides of the road, you will see a different kind of bands playing live music. This road becomes super crowded at times which makes it difficult for the tourist to move around. This road is open until the wee hours of the morning.

5.  Indulge in a Thai Massage

Thai massage is a dry massage a no oil or lubricant is applied on the body. In fact, your Thai massage is given over the dress you are given to wear before the massage. Thai massage can be a little painful for a first timer and if you do it frequently you will not feel the pain. Thai massage effectively touches the joints in the body which relaxes the body and improves blood circulation.




6. Visit Chatuchak Weekend Market

Chatuchak Weekend Market is one of the largest markets in Bangkok. The market is active at the weekends. The market is divided into many sections ranging from clothing, handicrafts, ceramics, furniture, food and beverage, plants, arts, books, antiques and more.

The Ayutthaya  Kingdom was one of the prosperous Kingdom that existed from 1350 to 1767. It was, in fact, the second Thai empire after Sukhothai. Finally, the whole Kingdom was destroyed by the Burmese and the Kingdom ceased to exist after 1767.  In present-day Thailand, only the ruins of Ayutthaya Kingdom remain. Ayutthaya City is now a World Heritage Site. Visit Ayutthaya is usually done in a day trip from Bangkok.
