Kabini
Kabini is definitely the place to head if you are a wildlife lover. The place has Kabini River flowing through it as well as waterfalls, with Forested Hills. Lepakshi which is a town bordering Bangalore and has a Karnataka-Andhra fairy tale connection. Tales of the place claim it is here that Jatayu was murdered by Ravana so he got awarded moksha after Rama said “Lepakshi” meaning “rise bird” in Telugu, which is how the town came to be.
The major appeal of the town has to be the Lepakshi Temple that was in honor of Veerbhadreshwar. The fascinating design of the temple is simple, timeless and will leave you speechless with wall paintings of Vijaynagar along with Frescoes’.
