1. Visit the Tanah Lot Temple

3. Visit the Ubud Monkey Forest

4. Visit the Besakih Temple

This temple has eighteen separate sanctuaries belonging to different caste groups. It thrills visitors with its artistic and unique complex comprising at least 86 temples that vary in type, status, and functions with a number of stairs leading up to it.

To the locals, visiting the temple is a special pilgrimage. The temple is open 24/7 for worship while for visitors between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

5. Visit the Tegallalang Rice Terraces

Located in Ubud, it is famous for its large expanse of rice fields and rice paddies. It has a scenic and dramatic outlook that slopes across the valleys.

As a visitor, you are treated to a dramatic view of this place as there is a wide range of creativity present here such as carved mythical lions, horses, human figures, etc. you also get the chance to shop for souvenirs at roadside stalls and art shops.

Here, you can get the chance to sample foods from local farmers. It is indeed a beautiful sight to behold.

6. Visit the Ubud Art Market

Also located in Ubud, this market is referred to by the locals as “Pasar Seni Ubud”. It is located near the Puri Saren Ubud Royal Palace and here you can find a lot of beautiful silk scarves, handmade woven bags, lightweight shirts, baskets, hats, statues, etc. –all hand-crafted.

As a visitor, you can also shop for souvenirs and delight yourself with displays of craftsmanship and artistry exhibited from stall to stall. You wouldn’t come here and not be tempted to purchase something.

7. Visit Kintamani and Mount Batur

If you are an adventurer, you wouldn’t want to miss this place. A visit to Kintamani will thrill you with the beautiful view of the Caldera Lake and the Mount Batur. This lake has a blue-green color and is 16 kilometers wide which gives a different view.

It is a popular fishing spot. For Mount Batur, you can practice your climbing skills as well as observe the sunrise from its ridges. History gas it that the Mount Batur volcano has erupted close to 24 times since 1800 and each time it does that, it reshapes the surrounding landscape. This volcano is still active. 



8. Visit Bali Safari and Marine Park

10. Visit the Goa Gajah

Also known as the elephant cave, this place is an archaeological site of important historical value to the Bali people. Visitors get to see its courtyard which is filled with relics, a meditation cave as well as bathing pools and fountains.




The cave is open daily between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with the payment for entry tickets priced at $0.50 for children and $1 for adults. Very cheap for what you will enjoy I must say.
