Best Time To Visit Dharamsala

Dharamsala is one of the most beautiful hill stations in India. This hill station can be visited throughout the year. The place offers a magnificent view of the mountains and lush green forests. Dharamsala is an important center for Buddhists. Our recommendation is to visit Dharamsala during the summers. Here’s why

  1. Dharamsala in Summer ( March – June )

Summers are pleasant in Dharamsala. The temperature ranges from 20 – 33 C and many tourists prefer to visit Dharamsala during this period. This season is suitable for outdoor activities like sightseeing and trekking. Many tourists prefer to visit during this time. Therefore, the place may be a bit crowded.




2. Dharamsala in Monsoon ( July – September )

The monsoon season is refreshing. The damped vegetation’s and the hills are greenest during this season of the year.  Heavy showers are seen in this season and roads gets blocked because of the rainfall. Not much tourist is seen during this season.

3. Dharamsala in Autumn ( September- November )

The autumn season starts with the end of the monsoon rains. The weathers remain pleasant making it lovely for sightseeing and outdoors. Starting from November the nights starts getting chilly and tourist will need a set of warm clothes.

4. Dharamsala in Winter ( December – February )

Best Time To Visit Shimla

Shimla is a wonderful hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh.  Although this hill station can be visited throughout the year, the ideal time to visit Shimla is during the summers. 

Summers ( March – June )

Summer season is a healthy season to visit Shimla. This season is great because of its warm weather. The temperature ranges from 15 – 30 C in the summers. It is an excellent time to involve in activities like paragliding, trekking, camping, and rafting. People also visit Shimla for sightseeing as different attractions like Christ Church, Tara Devi Temple can be visited during this season.

Monsoon ( July – September )

 Shimla receives heavy rainfall during this season. There are several incidences of landslides during this season. This season is an off-peak season and it is advised to avoid this season to visit the destination. The weather remains humid during this monsoon season with temperatures ranging from 15-25 C.




Winter  ( October -March )

This season is an ideal season for ice skating, skiing, and, snow seeing. The temperature drops down further and often time the temperature ranges from 0-17 C.
