8 Essential Traffic Rules You Need To Follow In India While Driving

Driving on the road is your civic duty, but remember that other people have the right to access and use roads safely too. For those behind the wheel, laws governing the use of motor vehicles are extensive and comprehensive because they aim to ensure safe usage by everyone who travels in a car.

Say no to drunk driving

One of the government’s rules says that we should not drive a car if our logic determines that we are intoxicated. That means if the alcohol content in our blood is higher than 30mg per 100 ml, we shouldn’t be driving as it will cause any driver to lose focus and make critical driving mistakes.

Drive with a valid driving license

A driving license is a government-issued proof that we can drive on the roads. Besides the age requirement, a driving license is issued after passing a few tests, including a general knowledge test under an RTO inspector’s supervision. To keep yourself safe while venturing out, you should always carry your driving license.

Carry a valid insurance policy

Before making insurance claims, you should check if you have an adequate insurance policy. Always check your policy’s validity before making such claims, as some policies may not cover damage caused by negligence or incompetence – which is the case here.

Wear a seat belt

The seat belt is a safety feature that makes driving much safer. The impact of any collision with the seat belt in place won’t be as severe because it reduces the chances of grievous injury from an accident, making rescue easy from outside the car should the need arise.

Wear a helmet

Similar to the safety rules in place while driving, people who ride a bike should always wear a helmet in case of an accident to protect themselves from a head injury. Although some states have different rules about wearing helmets, this is a crucial traffic guideline for our protection.

Speed within limits

Speed limits, which are imposed according to traffic conditions, such as light and airflow, should be followed. Soon going bikes and cars, which have a high power output, are often driven hastily on the road. As a result of this practice, crashes happen frequently. Usually, such mishaps are not covered by car insurance policies.

While driving do not use a mobile phone

This law was passed as the government felt that mobile phone usage while driving distracted drivers on the road. This law applies to two-wheeler drivers due to their propensity for lower control during phone conversations.

Observe the Red signal

When the red light shows up, you stop. You wait for it to turn green before crossing the pedestrian line. It helps to let other users know that you’re stopping at a signal or when taking a right turn. Stopping at a sign ensures smooth and orderly traffic flow and prevents pile-ups.

We have seen that traffic rules play an essential role in the safe flow of vehicles. They also ensure that drivers can use the roads safely and reach their destinations without difficulties. Not only do drivers need to drive by these road rules, but they also need to make sure they have adequate coverage on their insurance policy since accidents can happen without notice, no matter where you travel!

8 Ways To Avoid An Unnecessary Fight When You Encounter An Idiot

For most people, a physical altercation is an undesirable thing to happen. There are those who enjoy it though. To take part in a fight can be tempting when you’re angry; but actually fighting may introduce more complications than it solves.

The next time you’re faced with a person who doesn’t appear to possess all the necessary faculties for intelligent discourse, try using one of these eight methods to go about your business without engaging in a pointless dispute.

Notice carefully

Notice that anger can convert to rage and rage can convert to violence in a matter of minutes.

Keep emotions in check

You shouldn’t lose your temper with those who you are in a disagreement with. Keep the anger at bay and take some time to cool down before reacting because when you’re raging on the inside – it’s much harder to remain composed, especially if you feel like someone else is attacking you personally. Even if they’re starting arguments or being offensive, don’t lose your cool until you can get away from them.

Let go of being  right

Trying to argue a point with someone whose beliefs and or ideas simply don’t align with your own can be quite annoying. Whether they are too stubborn to see reason or they just refuse to admit that they are wrong no matter what, people like this tend to deflect from personal responsibility, chances are you know at least one person like this.

So just leave them be because arguing will only make the situation worse. You don’t have to be formally acknowledged for being correct in order to know that you’re correct, so at the end of the day; what matters is that you were right.

Mind your body language

Pay careful attention to your body language and stance. If you’re keeping your fists down, your palms face up and you don’t make any unnecessary movements, other people will be less likely to try starting a fight with you.

Mind your tone of the voice and language

Be aware of your language. While you want to avoid curses that are the easiest to throw around, there are plenty of other words or phrases you should refrain from using as they can cause unnecessary drama in a situation where you need to simply resolve an issue.  Also watch the tone of your voice.

Apologize

Even if you are right, it’s not always worth getting into a fight. Sometimes it’s best to just cut your losses and apologize.

Give some space and try to step back

If you’re committed to solving the altercation without resorting to violence, keep a few feet of distance between yourself and an angry combatant while you try to talk it out. You’re less likely to get attacked if you stand your ground than if they are in your face.

Keep watching your back side

If you’re going to walk away and the situation is still tense, be careful about turning your back to your opponent. This gives them an opportunity to attack or stabbed from behind, and you less of a chance to defend yourself. Instead, back away until you have plenty of room. This will make it hard for them to sneak up on you.

Fighting someone else can potentially lead to either getting a few stitches or an assault charge. You might also experience feelings of guilt after you’ve hurt or have been hurt by someone who is innocent (and a police report will go on your permanent record).

5 Common Causes Of Commercial Fires

There are many common causes of commercial fires which you, as an entrepreneur or manager are likely to be interested in. By being aware of what might cause a fire, your business can take proper precautions to reduce the chances of experiencing any damage from such a scenario.

Cooking Equipment

Restaurants aren’t the only business to contain kitchen areas. Any company that serves food is likely to have a kitchen area. This is because cooking (even if it’s on a small level) requires temperature-controlled areas and flammable oils and greases cause fires.

Heating Equipment

Depending on the climate, a commercial building may require heat to remain comfortable for several months of the year. As with other mechanical equipment, furnaces and boilers are at risk of overheating. If this occurs, then they have the potential to catch fire; if you allow it to get out of control, you could end up losing your entire business!

Electrical Equipment

All modern buildings feature electrical wiring behind the wall for light and power. Unfortunately, electricity is a primary ingredient in fire. Old or defective wiring, overloaded circuits, loose connections, faulty fuses, imbalanced electrical loads, and many other electrical or lighting problems can develop that lead to overheating or sparks that ignite a fire.

Smoking materials

Lighted cigars, cigarettes, and other smoking materials can ignite fires if they are not disposed of correctly. Thankfully, smoking materials remain one of the top five reasons for commercial fires but less so than before; however it continues to put owners at serious risk since these types of material take a lot to fully dissolve and completely extinguish.

Intentional

An intentional fire is one that occurs as the result of the deliberate misuse of a heat source. Arson, in this case, would fit into this category since it’s an act of malicious, criminal intent done by someone who sets fires to structures on purpose.
